WHO: Who’s it for?
- Veterans and current-serving ADF members
- First responders and public safety professionals
- Engineers, developers, designers and those that enjoy coding/programming
- Defence SMEs, tech startups, and students*
- Anyone passionate about building better battlefield, emergency or public safety tools
*You must be 18+ years old to participate.
WHAT: What will happen over 3 days?
- Day 1: Team formation, challenge briefing, idea generation
- Day 2: Building prototypes, mentor check-ins, workshops
- Day 3: Final prep, pitch coaching, public demos, judging and networking
Participants will work in cross-functional teams to build plugins, apps, or data-driven solutions that enhance the way ATAK (or CivTAK) is used in defence and public safety environments.
HOW: How does it work?
- Real-world problem statements are provided, many inspired directly by veterans and operators.
- Participants are supported with mentoring, access to ATAK environments, and on-the-ground guidance from military, startup, and tech mentors.
- Final projects are pitched to a panel of industry and defence-aligned judges.
- Prizes, recognition, and potential commercial pathways await top teams.
